Jacob Christ (11/08/1895 - 21/10/1974), a German composer and publisher. Choir director of the Bonn Abbey Choir from 1939 to 1945 and 1947 to 1953. Jakob Christ studied at Dr. Hoch's Conservatory in Frankfurt. In 1921 he took over the St. A. Braun-Peretti music store, which had existed in Bonn since 1896. In 1926 he founded the choir publisher Braun-Peretti. In addition to our own compositions and arrangements, the publishing range has been expanded over the years to include many works by a wide variety of composers. He was the choir director of several choirs in the Bonn area and wrote numerous choral arrangements. The Bonn Abbey Choir appointed him honorary conductor in 1946.
