Anna Ikramova (05/02/1966) a female Russian composer, born in Moskva. She studied composition and clarinet in Moscow. She's been living in Germany since 1990 where she studied electronic composition with Dirk Reith at the Folkwang Academy in Essen. She works in various musical forms, combining sound with pictures, movement and speech. She works as a piano and clarinet teacher and as church organist.
In her compositions Anna Ikramova works with different musical genres and combines sounds with images, movement and language. That is why she likes to work across borders with dance or drama. As the daughter of a writer, she is always looking for a connection to literature.

Anna Ikramova, born in Moscow in 1966, grew up in a typical Muscovite of the time Intellectual house. As a child she attended the music high school at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and received as Student taking her first composition lesson This was followed by the years at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory (1983 to 1988) with the courses Composition, music theory and clarinet. She has lived in Germany since 1990. From 1991 to 1996 she studied at the Folkwang University in Essen Composition with Wolfgang Hufschmidt and electronic composition with Dirk Reith (artistic Final exam 1996). It followed a music pedagogical postgraduate course with the Major subjects composition and piano and church music with a degree as a qualified music teacher and B-exam church music. In 1991 she received the FRECC'L Prize - Experimental Combination of Language and Music - for her work "The Lost Moon". Her work was awarded the Künstlerinnen Preis NRW (sponsorship award) in 1998. In 2000 her composition "speculum sine for choir" was awarded the 3rd prize by the German Music Council excellent. From 2000 to 2002 she realized on behalf of the State Music Council of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Tonhalle Düsseldorf and several educational projects for young people at the Bochum music school; i.a. Composition workshop for girls and a composition project on the internet. With the intention of connecting her artistic work and its communication, she is as Church musician and music teacher. Since April 1, 2011 she has been a church musician at the Eben-Ezer Foundation.
