A. Fol
Alexandra Fol (11/07/1981), a female Bulgarian composer and organist, born in Sofia. She graduated from Boston University College of Fine Arts summa cum laude and with Departmental Honours as a Trustee Scholar in 2002. Currently Ms. Fol is pursuing Master of Music degree both in composition and orchestral conducting at Eastman School of Music on a full scholarship. Ms. Fol is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, the International Society for Contemporary Music (Bulgarian section) and Pi Kappa Lambda - the National Music Honour Society. She received major national and international prizes in composition and piano, and at the Second International World Children's Music Festival for Young Composers in Tachikawa, Japan (1994), the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra performed her Two songs for voice and orchestra. In 1999 Ms. Fol was accepted at the Young Artists Composition Program in Tanglewood, USA, where she performed her Piano Concerto with the Young Artists Orchestra. In 2001 the Boston University Orchestra performed her Violin Concerto.
