Juan María [Juan] Solare (11/08/1966), an Argentinean composer, born in Buenos Aires. Education: Studies and diploma in Piano, Composition and Conducting at the Conservatorio Nacional (Argentina). Teaching positions: From 1986 until 1993 he taught Harmony, Morphology and Chamber Music at the Conservatory of Tandil (Argentina). Since January 2002 he gives piano tuition at the Musikschule Bremen (Germany). He gives courses and lectures on contemporary music. Besides, private tuition (piano) and seminars on tango music. Oeuvre: More than 240 works composed, over the half of them already premiered. He also composed music for short films and Internet animations. As a pianist, his repertoire has four main centres: classical music of the turn of the century (Liszt, Scriabin), music of our time (Cage, Schoenberg), Argentine composers (inclusive tango) and his own works - both as soloist as in diverse chamber music groups.
