Charles Weissflog (27/12/1780 - 1828), a German composer. He was born at Sagan on December 27, 1780. Intended by his father for the profession of lawyer, he began his studies at the gymnasium of Hirschberg, completed them at the University of Kœnigsberg, and then obtained a job in Sagan. In his youth, he devoted himself with ardor to music, and composed a Salve Regina, a solemn mass and a Dies irę, the manuscripts of which are still in the main church of Sagan.
