František Ludvík (Franz Ludwig) [František] Poppe (17/09/1671 - 18/12/1730), a Czech composer and priest, born in Oppole, died in Prague. He was a prolific and successful composer. His work has been successful even in the imperial court in Vienna and six of his compositions was found in Dresden . Others are extended on many other Czech and German church choirs. The inventory of the Cross from the years 1737-1738 is listed under his name 158 songs. Among them: 30 Masses, 2 requiems, litany, Psalms, offertories and other minor pieces.
