Rudolf Desch (01/08/1911 - 15/02/1997) a German composer and professor. Born in Bockenau; died in Bad Sobernheim). He worked as a music composition teacher at the Johannes Gutenberg University and at the Peter Cornelius Conservatory. He became known for his numerous vocal compositions, especially for male choir. His Evening Peace is part of the standard repertoire of numerous choirs. On May 1, 1933, he joined the NSDAP.
