Vincenzo Davico (14/01/1889 - 08/12/1969) was born in the Principality of Monaco but actually an Italian composer. He studied first at Turin and at Leipzig with Max Reger. Having lived for a great part of his life in Paris, the chief influence he underwent was that of the musicians surrounding Debussy.

This Requiem is for soli, choir and orchestra. Full title: Requiem per la morte di un povero, su parafrasi di testi sacri (Requiem for the death of a poor man, based on paraphrases of sacred texts). His requiem for 4 part chorus (or for soprano, bariton, choir and orchestra) was premiered at Monte Carlo. Printed: Milano: Edizioni Suvini Zerboni, 1953.
