Franz Josef Breitenbach (27/04/1853 - 30/08/1934), a Swiss organist and composer, born in Muri and died in Luzern. Son of Joseph Heinrich Breitenbach. After attenting Grammar School in Einsiedeln, he studied organ at the Conservatory of Stuttgart. He became organist in Will, Muri, Baden. In 1889 he became "Stiftsorganist" in Luzern. He founded with others the Organistenschule in Will in 1889.
