Pere Juan Llonell was the chapel master of the basilica of Santa Maria del Pi in Barcelona, approximately, between the last quarter of the 18th century and the first quarter of the 19th century. Pere Joan Llonell was a composer and chapel master of the church of El Pi, in Barcelona, ​​during the second half of the eighteenth century. Some of his compositions were very popular, especially his Requiem, which continued to be sung until the second half of the 19th century and of which no less than 12 copies are known preserved throughout Catalonia.
