Hartwig Hochmair (14/08/1973), an Austrian composer (from Salzburg) of church music for small orchestras, etc. From 1993 to 2000 he studied electroacoustic composition on the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, from where he graduated in June 2000.

His current position is a post-doc in the cognitive systems group at the department of informatics at the university of Bremen.
He joined the Institute for Geoinformation from March 1999 to February 2003. He was involved in several field courses (GIS and surveying) and he is responsible for the WWW-server and the Web-activities in the institute.
