Fridericus [Friedrich] Koenen (30/04/1829 - 06/07/1887). Born in Rheinbach nearby Bonn, died in Cologne, 1854 ordained priest, 1863 appointed Kapellmeister of the cathedral and teacher of music at the seminary in Cologne, did much to improve church singing, composed masses, motets, etc.
