Joseph Vincent [Vincent] Higginson [pseudonym: Cyr de Brant] (17/05/1896 - 1994), an American composer and writer on music; born in Irvington, New Jersey, USA. Joseph Vincent Higginson was a De La Salle Christian Brother from 1914-1939. While a Brother he wrote sometimes under the speudonym F. S. Carlton. He wrote and edited extensively about sacred music. He published many compositions under the pseudonym Cyr de Brant.
