Karl Heinz Malzer (19/11/1942), born in Pleystein, the pearl of the northern Upper Palatinate. From the age of five, from his first piano lessons with his mother, who received her training at the former Meistersinger Conservatory in Nuremberg, he enjoyed continuous musical training, which culminated in his studies at the State University of Music in Munich (1963-1967). . Even then, in addition to musicology, Prof. Dr. Erich Valentin and music theory with Prof. Dr. Hermann Pfrogner's personal focus in the field of choral conducting, which he learned under Prof. Fritz Schieri. Already during his studies he conducted various choral ensembles. After artistic and pedagogical examinations, he taught as a music philologist at the Augustinus-Gymnasium in Weiden in der Oberpfalz from 1969, then from 1976 in Neustadt/WN.
