Andreas Spaeth [Späth] (09/10/1792 - 26/04/1876), A German composer. He was a born near Coburg in what is now Bavaria, he died in Gotha, Germany. He began his career as clarinetist in a wind band at the court of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. From 1821 to 1837 he worked as organist, violinist, conductor and singing teacher in Switzerland and began to establish a reputation as a composer. For the clarinet Spaeth composed a concerto, concertino, salon pieces and, most successfully, a Symphonie concertante for two clarinets and orchestra.
