Poverty Requiem
The Poverty Requiem is a new opportunity to make a political and artistic statement against poverty. A musical piece for four choirs, the Poverty Requiem was inspired by the rapid approach of White Band Day, October 17th, which reminds the world that the midpoint to 2015 is arriving, and many countries are not on track for reaching the Millennium Development goals. The music was composed by Peter Maissan, and the text written by Sylvia Borren (executive director of OXFAM Novib).
