Johan De Smet (1956), a Belgian composer and pianist, born in Ghent. Johan De Smet is a modern classical composer, who also writes music for the dadaist stand-up comedian Kamagurka and theatre writer Arne Sierens. He had an own big band, The Simpletones, with whom he recorded his opera Einfach. Another work of his is the Requiem euthanasia.
