Christian Kolonovits (25/02/1952), son of a Croatian father and a Hungarian mother, was born in Rechnitz (Burgenland, Austria). In his early childhood, he discovered his passion for music and began taking piano lessons at the age of five. After high school in Vienna he studied piano, composition, conducting and cello at the Vienna College of Music. During his studies he already worked as a studio musician, bar pianist and played in various bands. Practically all well known Austrian interpreters such as Wolfgang Ambros, Rainhard Fendrich, Ludwig Hirsch, STS worked together with the versatile musician in the course of his career. In addition various international stars appreciate his quality as arranger, composer und music producer. In addition Kolonovits created numerous compositions for theatres, such as for the Vienna Burgtheater, he wrote Film and TV Music for Peter Patzak, Xaver Schwarzenberg, Peter Weck and also conducted at the Vienna Raimundtheater. Altogether Christian Kolonovits, living in Vienna since 1982, co-operated in 300 albums and CD's, 70 Gold and Platinum Awards to testify for his success. In the beginning of the 90's Christian Kolonovits concentrated his musical effort mainly on symphonic projects. His talent to combine Rock, Pop and classical elements made him a world wide known arranger and producer. Projects with various orchestras (Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow State Symphony, Radio Symphony Orchestra, Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra, Hollywood Bowle Orchestra, Bruckner Orchestra Linz a.m.m.) developed. He attained international acknowledgement particularly with various crossover projects with Vienna Symphony Orchestra (V.S.O.P.), and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra "Moment of Glory" Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra / Scorpions.
