Fred De Sena (1950), an American composer (from Brooklyn, New York). He is an Assistant Professor of Music Theory and Composition. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in Computer Music from Ithaca College, a Master of Music in Electronic/Computer Music, and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition from the University of Miami. He has been an adjunct and visiting member of the Theory and Composition faculty at the University of Miami since 1992.
Dr. De Sena teaches Multimedia Authoring and Music Theory courses, directs the Multimedia Instruction and Learning Laboratory for the Frost School of Music, coordinates computer-assisted instruction in music theory, and is director of the Electronic Music Ensemble.
