Catharine Eastman (07/10/1973), a female American composer, born in Lawrence (Massachusetts). She has been involved in choral music since childhood. She began composing songs (in Music Construction Set, no less!) based on the poetry of a good friend in high school. She took a year of formal music theory in college, and has set several traditional worship texts to music, many of which have been performed by the Christ Church Portola Valley Woodside chancel choir. She has also worked with other genres of music.

In memory of:Eugenia Frothingham Lombard
Requiem, for SAT(B) a cappella, written shortly after my grandmother, Eugenia Frothingham Lombard (1908 - 2000), died in January 2000. All but the last phrase was composed in only a couple of hours on the plane flight back home from Boston after her funeral. Premiere performance June 2003 Christ Church Portola Valley Woodside.
