Antonino Maugeri (04/09/1918 - 22/02/2008), an Italian composer. Thirteen years old he entered the Seminary and was immediately placed in the Group of singers as contralto. He studied music with Branchina, Frasciano and Sangiorgi. He was ordained as priest. Despite of his busy duties (an intense pastoral activity), he was dedicated to music and liturgical compositions. He began a prolific period of production for the liturgy and not only maintaining a neoclassical style of clear and immediate impression taken on interpreter and the listener.
