Toby Wardman (12/04/1981), an English conductor and composer, born in Middlesbrough. He has worked extensively with choirs and musical groups of all ages and standards, conducting rehearsals, concerts and competitions. He has also run public workshops on choral and singing technique.

Pie Jesu is for piano, guitar and solo voice (alto). The words of the Pie Jesu are from the requiem mass. This setting uses a small chamber group and a simple, repeated melody. The voice part is best suited to an alto range.
