Ruggero Lolini (16/08/1932 - 14/05/2019), an Italian composer; born in Siena. He began his musical studies with Maria De Fabritiis, graduating in piano in 1954 at the Cherubini Conservatory of Florence . He also studied composition with Vito Frazzi , both in Florence in private and at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena. Later in Paris , from 1954 to 1960, at the Ecole Normale de Musique with Mrs Honegger and Francis Poulenc , and at the Conservatory with Darius Milhaud , she was also a pupil of Mme Honegger in Paris for the in-depth study of counterpoint. Later he also attended courses in film music at the Chigiana with Angelo Francesco Lavagnino , of which he was a collaborator for many years. From 1968 to 1997 he was musical consultant for RAI Radiotelevisione Italiana . Author of over 190 chamber and symphonic compositions, he also wrote some chamber works ; his works are present in numerous concert events in Italy and abroad, and in various contemporary music festivals , entering the repertoire of numerous performers, both soloists and chamber ensembles.
