Wilmer Hayden [Wilmer] Welsh B.Sc. (17/07/1932 - 05/03/2008), an American composer; born in Cincinnati, Ohio, died in Charleston. He studied at the John Hopkins University, became Assistant professor at Winthrop College in 1963. Welsh became recognized in the press in 1954 as a significant young composer.
