Björn Wilho [Björn] Hallberg (09/07/1938 - 05/10/2009), a Norwegian composer; born in Oslo, died in Stockholm, Sweden. After training with Brustad and Mortensen at the Oslo Cons., he settled in Stockholm in 1962 and completed his studies at the Musikhögskolan with Blomdahl, Wallner, and Linholm. In 1968 he became a naturalized Swedish citizen.

Missa pro Defunctis (1969) for soprano solo, choir, orchestra and electronics. Text by Dag Hammarskjöld (1905 - 1961), a Swedish diplomat, economist, and author. An early Secretary-General of the United Nations, he served from April 1953 until his death in a plane crash in September 1961.
