Alois Lohmiller (26/02/1934 - 10/07/2019), a German composer and school teacher. Alois Lohmiller is one of the "quiet ones" among composers who don't make a big fuss about themselves and don't make a spectacular fuss about performances of their works. But he is one of those who has something to say. When he thinks about himself and the (church) music he created, he uses a biblical parable: "I always have the parable of the talents in mind. How much I got from them is secondary. For me, church is primarily a community, and I place myself in this community; serving it is important to me, not standing out from it. Musical Ability is a "charisma" among other charisms. That's how I see myself as a musician, as a composer.
