Domingo Olleta Mombiela (20/12/1819 - 21/04/1895), a Spanish composer; born and died in Zaragoza. He entered the College of the Cathedral as a child in 1827, where he remained until 1835, he was soon distinguished by his happy musical disposition, and the teacher of the Cathedral, Pedro L. Gil gave him lessons of harmony and counterpoint. In 1858, after brilliant opposition, he was appointed choirmaster of the Cathedral, having received the sacred orders in 1853. Among his works are the grandiose Requiem, the Miserere, for all orchestras; the Songs to the Heart of Jesus, and the Mass in C, called La Valeriana. He was an academic of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, and of number San Luis of Zaragoza and of merit of the Aragonese Friends of the Country. He suffered from hemiplegia on his right side for forty years and was driving with his left arm. His remains were deposited in the chapel of Santo Domingo del Val (Dominguito del Val), in the Cathedral of San Salvador in Zaragoza.
