Alessandro Bustini (24/12/1876 - 23/06/1970), an Italian composer, from Rome. He studied with Falchi (composition), Sgambati (pianoforte) and Renzi (organ). He wrote abook on the history of the symphony in Italy. Bustini, Alessandro, Italian composer and teacher. 1970. He studied at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome with Sgambati (piano), Renzi (organ), and Falchi (composition), graduating in 1897. He was subsequently appointed to its faculty, and was its president from 1952 to 1964. His works, all written in the traditional Italian manner, include the opera Maria Dulcis (Rome, April 15, 1902), 2 syms. (1899, 1909), Le Tentazioni, symphonic poem (1914), Le Stagioni for Violin and Chamber Orch. (1934), 2 string quartets, songs, and piano works.
