Gustaf Frederici is the alter ego of Sven Erik Emanuel Svensson (03/11/1899 - 22/04/1960), born in Västerås, died in Uppsala, Sweden. In 1938 Svensson published his biography of the fictional Gustavian composer Gustaf Fredrici (1770–1801), an alter ego in whose name Svensson also composed several Viennese classical imitating works, including a requiem and a clarinet quintet.
