Ghislain [Gislenus, Guislain, Guillain] Doré, is a priest and composer originally from Arras, choirmaster of the Cathedral of Arras in the last quarter of the 17th century. This composer seems not to have been the subject of any biographical research, in fact the information gathered on him still needs to be confirmed by archival sources.
He was born in Arras, raised in Louvain , appointed there in a chapel of the cathedral of Louvain, then he returned to Arras.
In Arras, he held a post of chapel master at the cathedral between approximately 1670 and 1700, while being a priest and chaplain of this church.
He is quoted in several sources at the trial of a trial held with Louis Le Bel, also chaplain of the cathedral, against Guy de Sève de Rochechouart, bishop of Arras.
