H. Sutermeister
Heinrich Sutermeister (12/08/1910 - 16/03/1995), a Swiss composer, born in Feuerthalen. The bulk of Sutermeister's output consists of stage works, indebted to the example of Orff in their simplicity and directness, yet also displaying a personal dramatic formula in their attention to Italian theatrical models. Concertos and chamber music complement the operatic achievement. Sutermeister's choral pieces are enduringly popular.

Marconi’, 1938–9), Sutermeister (1952), Virgil Thomson (1960) and Frank Martin (1971–2).
