Emil Tabakov (21/08/1947) is known as a significant Bulgarian conductor and composer with dozens of works to his credit. Many of his compositions have been awarded prizes by the Union of Bulgarian Composers and have been frequently performed in Bulgaria and abroad. He was Minister of Culture in 1997. He was born in Rousse (Ruse).
