The (...) composition is based on the libretto of “Messa da Requiem” by Giuseppe Verdi. The Latin text was chosen to emphasize the internationality. This Requiem was composed in twelve and quarter tone music. When setting it to music, the composer drew on a work he had already published, “Let's Talk”, Volume 2 of the series 'Small Pieces for Orchestras with and without Singing', 2014, which was written in twelve-tone music. But now individual tones of the twelve-tone row were assigned the numbers from 1 to 12, which were then divided by a second one. In this composition, a requiem - a funeral mass - is music that sees the transition from life to death as a constant vibration and, beyond death, brings the vibrations further into the realm of the dead.
