Gerry Kennedy (08/06/1955 - 09/03/2005), a Scottish composer.
Kenndy: "I live in Edinburgh, Scotland. As a boy, I sang in Arthur Oldham's St Mary's RC Cathedral Choir in Edinburgh. After 20 years singing, playing bass and keyboards in jazz and dance bands, I renewed my friendship with him in the Edinburgh Festival Chorus, with whom I have sung since 1990. I have sung most of the standard choral works under the batons of Charles Mackerras, John Eliot Gardner, Claudio Abbado, Simon Rattle and Seizi Ozawa among many others. I have written a musical, The Village, based on a Scottish mining village of the 30s, and many songs, jingles and soundtracks."
