Missa pro defunctis, written for eight voices, strings and flutes, in 1758, for Queen Maria Barbara de Bragança’s (1711 - 1758) exequies. She was very powerful during the reign of her husband Fernando VI (who died in 1759). Daughter of King João V of Portugal and Maria Ana de Áustria, who was regent of Portugal (1642-50). The second dedicatee is King Fernando VI of Spain (23/09/1713 – 10/08/1759), the husband of Queen Maria Barbara de Braganca (1711-1758)
