Marius Monnikendam (28/05/1896 - 22/05/1977), a Dutch composer, born in Haarlem, died while traveling. He studied with Sem Dresden (1881 - 1957) at the Amsterdam Conservatory, and with d′Indy and Aubert in Paris, then worked in the Netherlands as a critic and teacher. His works, in a broadly traditional style, include much church music and orchestral pieces.
