Edgar Beck-Slinn (02/01/1879 - 27/09/1936), an English organist, pianist and composer, born in Claver, Great Britain, England; died in Aberdeen, Scotland. He used his given name Beck as a surname, Queen Victoria scholar and gold and silver medallist at Trinity College London, BM from Durham University, 1909 residing at 102 Anerley Park in London Dulwich, 1910 manufacturer and editor of music rolls for pianolas, 1934 organist/choirmaster of West Church of St Nicholas in Aberdeen where he resided at 31 Laurelwood Avenue ; son of traveling coal agent Abraham Slinn (Derbyshire, Hathersage 15.may.1853-) and Elizabeth Ann Beck (Yorkshire, Skipton 1851-) ; 1907 in London Croydon he married contralto Edith Elizabeth 'Dora' Withecombe (Plymouth 1879-)
