Abbé Maximilian Stadler (04/08/1748 - 08/11/1833), an Austrian composer, born in Melk. Friend of Haydn and Mozart. At request of Mozart's widow he put Mozart's musical remains in order and wrote: Vertheidigung der Echtheit des Mozartischen Requiem (Vienna, 1825/26).
