Tauno Olavi [Tauno] Marttinen (27/09/1912 - 18/07/2008), a Finnish composer, Helsinki. Conductor of Hämeenlinna City Orchestra 1949-1958; principal of Hämeenlinna Music Institute 1950-1975; music critic on the newspaper Hämeen Kansa since 1950 (under the pen names T.M. and Tritonus); conductor of Hämeenlinna Workers' Association Mixed Choir 1953-1955; Kalevala Jubilee Prize 1969 and honorary title of Professor 1972.
