I am very interested in the requiem mass, thanks for your overview. This is really helpful. You said that the requiem by Benedictus Appenzeller can be found in Montserrat; but I thought that it is lost or at leat only a fragment..is it really complete? It would be nice hearing from you. Very nice -- if you do not mind, I want to link to it from our music library web page as a resource. One suggestion, if I may be so bold, under the "Requiems" heading, as you have them listed by year, if there could be a sort function for the other two columns as well (composer and title) -- this is a lot of work for all those involved and I say kudos to you all for the undertaking.

In November a world premiere took place in the Radio Concert Hall in Copenhagen. A new Requiem of the Danish composer - John Frandsen. In memory of all the victims of the Utoja massacre in Norway.
