Paolo Arcą (12/05/1953), an Italian composer (born in Rio de Janeiro). He studied music with Irma Ravinale and V. Gobbi Belcredi at the "Santa Cecilia" Conservatory of Rome, graduating in composition, piano, orchestral direction, choral music and choral direction. He subsequently specialized with Franco Donatoni at the Accademia Chigiana of Siena (1982) and at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Rome (1983). Winner of first prize at the International "France Culture-Musique Contemporaine 2" Competition of Avignon, his works have been performed at numerous festivals and other contemporary music events.
