A very accomplished and prolific composer, Dale’s compositions have had their world premier performances at the Kennedy Center, Dorothy Candler Pavilion, the Ojai Music Festival, the Adirondack Festival of American Music, San Diego State University, and UCLA. Dale also served as composer-in-residence for the professional choral ensembles The Gregg Smith Singers and Cantori Domino and was the composer-in-residence for the St. Cyril of Jerusalem Catholic Church in Encino, California. And if that wasn’t enough, throughout his life, Dale wrote music scores for television, radio, commercials, documentaries, and feature films.
Dale also was a very accomplished singer. He sang as a tenor for the Gregg Smith Singers, Roger Wagner Chorale, Cantori Domino, and the Los Angeles Master Chorale. However, one of his most prestigious singing engagements was singing for the Pope at the Vatican.
