Mateusz Zwierzchowski (1720 - 14/04/1768), a Polish composer, organist and conductor, whose works are an example of the late Polish Baroque style. He was born in Wielkopolska, Poland, died in Gniezno, Poland.
Missa pro defunctis
This requiem (1760) is for solo voices, mixed choir and orchestra (ed. F. Dabrowski). Discovered in 1959 in the archives of the cathedral of Gniezno.
This requiem is dedicated to the composer's donor and friend the Domherr and Kantor of Gniezno, Wojciech Wierczorkiewicz.
