An-Ming Wang [in Chnese tradition: Wang An-Ming] (07/11/1926), a Chinese female composer, born in Shanghai, China. Went to the United States in 1948. She holds a Bachelor of Education from Central China University (an affiliate of Yale University,) a Bachelor of Music degree from Wesleyan Conservatory, and a Master of Arts degree from Columbia University.
Ms. Wang’s works include keyboard, vocal, instrumental, chamber ensemble, choral, and orchestral compositions. The Christmas Gift is one of several of her compositions that have been performed at the White House and at Kennedy Center.
Ms. Wang is an American citizen and resides in Potomac, Maryland with her husband.
