From the Milwaukee Sentinel, November 27, 1929: CHOIR TO BEAR NEMMERS TO GRAVE TODAY Rites for Veteran Organist to Be At Holy Trinity Funeral services for Michael L. Nemmers, 74, composer of Catholic church music and organist and choirmaster in Catholic churches for the last 44 years, will be at 10 am. Wednesday in Holy Trinity Church, Park and Greenbush streets. The Rev. William Haberstock, pastor of Holy Trinity church, will be celebrant at the solemn high mass. Members of the Holy Trinity choir, of which Mr. Nemmers was director from 1911 until five weeks ago, when he was taken ill, will be pall bearers. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. He came here in 1885 to serve the St. Francis of Assisi parish in that capacity. Subsequently, he was organist and choir director at St. Boniface church, 1893 to 1905, and at Holy Rosary church, 1906 to 1911, when he transferred to Holy Trinity parish. He is survived by a son, Atty E. P. Nemmers, and two grandchildren, Erwin E. and Frederic E. Nemmers.
