Kevin Vockerodt (1979), an African composer. He was born in South Africa in 1979. In 1997 he was awarded a piano and organ scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music in London, where his teachers included Margaret Phillips, Timothy Bond and Yonty Solomon. He graduated in July 2001. Kevin has worked regularly with a number of London choral societies and has toured with them, both in the UK and abroad, including cathedral and concert performances in Belgium, Spain, Austria, Madeira, Dublin, Chicago, Paris and Mallorca. Until relocating to North Buckinghamshire, Kevin was the Organist and Musical Director at Finchley Methodist Church, North London, and is currently a full-time piano teacher at Beechwood Park School, Markyate, Hertfordshire. He has written a number of pieces for the school's girls' choirs, as well as working on numerous other composing, editing and arranging projects.
